Love was in the air all around the Upper Valley this past February as the Hanover Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society delivered another heartwarming round of Singing Valentines! Our talented quartets spread joy near and far, performing 35 in-person Singing Valentines and sending out 63 virtual Valentine greetings—a strong step forward as we continue to rebound from COVID. The demand for our virtual offerings remains high, and we’re thrilled to see both traditions growing!
This year also marked several exciting firsts:
🎶 A Mixed Quartet Debut – Our virtual valentines featured a mixed quartet for the first time, with Bill Stearns, Peter Bosse, Lorrie Bosse, and Lisa Elder lending their voices to make this year extra special.
🎵 A Contemporary Addition – Alongside our classic barbershop favorites, Let Me Call You Sweetheart and Heart of My Heart, we introduced a fresh new arrangement: Michael Bublé’s Everything!
🎥 Green Screen Magic – Our virtual valentines received a visual upgrade, as the quartet was recorded against a green screen, allowing for the addition of a dynamic and engaging background element.
We extend our deepest thanks to our patrons for their support and to all the dedicated singers who made this event possible. A special shoutout to Immediate Past-President Bruce Pacht for managing orders and logistics, Music Director Dan Falcone for preparing the virtual videos, and Anthony Helm for his video recording expertise.
💌 Mark your calendars for next year! Singing Valentines are the perfect way to surprise a loved one—stay tuned for our 2026 offering! 🎶❤️
